HOW TO SHIP A FIREARM

How to ship a handgun. If you are the shipper, of a handgun you can ship it on your own to a licensee dealer. ( You don't have to go thru a dealer in your home State.)

1. Call the dealer that you are going to ship the firearm to. Make sure it ok, with them.

2. Enclosed a copy of your State ID or D.L. and the name of the person who you are sending it to.

3. Handguns must be ship thru U.P.S. Two day Air or FED-X. Next day air.(NOT thru U.S.P.S.)

4. Long guns can go by U.S.P.S. But it must go to a dealer.

Shipping a firearm to yourself.

You can ship a firearm to yourself, i.e. When going hunting out of State, you must address it to yourself . If you ship it to a Motel or Hotel, please let them know that a package will becoming with your name on it. If you ship it to a friends house, don’t NOT have them open it up. You must do this when you get to your friends house.

MAKE SURE THAT YOUR FIREARM IS LEGAL IN THE STATE THAT YOU WILL BE IN.
