    • Eliminates the need for CLEO Sign-off (some states, this doesn’t apply)
      Some people simply cannot get any Title II weapons even though they are legal in their area because they cant find a CLEO willing to sign off on their ATF Form 1´s and ATF Form 4´s. This may be due to an anti-gun agenda or simply an uninformed CLEO not willing to sign for fear of liability or other legal repercussions. Also, some people don’t like dealing with the hassle of having to go get a "permission slip" every time they want another Title II weapon, or they don’t like their CLEO knowing about all of their Title II weapons.

    • Eliminates the need for Fingerprinting

    • This is subject to change in the future.

    • Speed
      Theoretically you could form your Trust today and have your ATF Form1 and or  ATF Form 4´s. out in the mail the next day.

    • Privacy
      Typically, Corporations (and maybe LLC´s) are publicly registered and that information is in the public domain, meeting minutes etc have to be submitted and are available for anyone to see.

    • Married Couples
      If you register an Title II weapon to yourself as an individual, only you should have access to it. This means that legally, your spouse should not have access to it which typically means she shouldn’t have the combination to the safe its stored in. This also means she cannot go shoot it without you. Forming a Trust with your spouse allows her to have access to it, transport it and shoot it without you!

What you must do;
1. When buying a N.F.A. firearm, a copy of your trust must be sent in to the N.F.A. when applying on a ATF Form 4 and or ATF Form 1
2. The tax fee.
3. Once approved and you are buying from a FFL dealer, you must come in to your gun shop and fill out ATF 4473. Please note that a NICS Check must be done. A copy of your N.F.A. Trust must be kept with the ATF 4473 form.
